Study while continuing in ministry
LIT’s September 2024 newsletter announced that five pastors had enrolled and begun study in a Master of Divinity program for the 2024–2025 academic year through a partnership with Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.
The plan included modular courses taught in Nigeria by visiting faculty, allowing direct engagement with teachers alongside ongoing local ministry. At that stage, the visits were planned components, not a report that every proposed course had already taken place.
Resources in Northern Nigeria
The update also described Northern Nigeria coordinator Gambo Dauda distributing the Hausa edition of Paul Washer’s The Gospel of Jesus Christ across North-West and North-Central Nigeria.
Another publishing project develops
LIT reported that Crossway had granted permission to print and sell an English edition of Name Above All Names by Alistair Begg and Sinclair Ferguson in Nigeria. Yoruba and Hausa translations were also in progress.
These announcements described permission and ongoing translation work. The December 2024 review later reported that the Yoruba edition was in its final printing stage.
