A congregation taking root in Lagos
In January 2023, LIT introduced missionary pastor Rukewe Idenedo, serving Christ Bible Church, a new Reformed Baptist church plant in the Alimosho area of Lagos.
The December 2022 ministry update had reported that Rukewe completed his internship at Kabwata Baptist Church in Lusaka, Zambia, before beginning to pastor the church plant in November 2022.
Preaching and doctrinal formation
The January introduction asked supporters to pray for the preaching and teaching of Scripture. Rukewe was beginning a sermon series on Titus, while the congregation’s Doctrine for Life class was working through the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith.
Remembering the people behind the work
This short profile preserves LIT’s introduction of the pastor and church in January 2023. The ministry plans and prayer requests belong to that period, rather than a current schedule of the church’s teaching.
