Resources received and shared

The June 2023 ministry update reported that LIT’s country director, Joel Uzamere, had received books from Ligonier Ministries in April. During May and June, 857 resources were distributed through five evangelistic programs organized by Sovereign Grace Bible Church in Lagos and Trinity Baptist Church in Abuja.

The programs reached readers in Osun, Oyo, Lagos, and Abuja. The newsletter listed 534 copies of John Calvin’s A Little Book on the Christian Life, 284 copies of R. C. Sproul’s Saved from What?, and 39 Reformation Study Bibles across two editions.

The 857 figure belongs to this reporting period and may overlap later updates. It is not an additional amount to add to LIT’s cumulative total.

A translation moving toward publication

The Yoruba translation of Paul Washer’s The Gospel of Jesus Christ had been completed and was undergoing review before submission to Reformation Heritage Books. A proposed first printing of 10,000 copies remained a plan. The August update later recorded publisher approval.

Interns serving beyond the classroom

Three pastoral interns at Trinity Baptist Church in Abuja took part in evangelistic work. The update gave thanks for an opportunity to engage a secondary school, continuing university outreach, and new connections with other Christian fellowships.

The report connected books, translation, and practical service as complementary ways of encouraging faithful local ministry.
