Thanksgiving for life in local churches
LIT’s February 2023 update, sent on March 4, shared news from missionary pastor Osagie Azeta. Looking back to the end of 2022, he reported eight baptisms and 20 new members at Sovereign Grace Bible Church.
The account also reported seven baptisms and nine new members at Sovereign Grace Lekki Church, described as a new church plant on Lagos Island. Baptism and membership figures are distinct measures; the newsletter did not identify them as separate groups of people to be added together.
Teaching children the Scriptures
Osagie also oversaw children’s outreach through Sovereign Grace Bible Church, where he served as a preaching elder. The newsletter showed one of the outreach centers where children received weekly Bible teaching.
Prayer for continued faithfulness
LIT shared these reports to encourage thanksgiving and prayer for the pastors and congregations connected with its work. They describe the ministry reported at the time and do not establish current congregation sizes.
