Reading that prompted reflection
When Pastor Ezhi entered LIT’s Pastors Reading Program, he did not expect what followed. In the November 2025 account, he described the experience this way:
“These books have been like a revival to me.”
The newsletter described a pastor who had preached faithfully but struggled with clarity and confidence in preaching and pastoral counsel. Over twelve months, he had received fifteen selected books—resources he could not otherwise have afforded or accessed.
Reading, reviewing, and reflecting led him to reconsider habits in his life and ministry:
“There were things I used to take for granted. But now, I see the need to adjust my life and my preaching to impact the people I shepherd.”
Returning to the text
A follow-up issue on November 29 described the influence of Nine Marks of a Healthy Church on his preaching. His reflection emphasized faithfulness to the biblical text and its context:
“I must maintain the text. I must maintain the context. When I lose them, it becomes pretext.”
The account described a renewed seriousness about study and prayer and the difference that faithful exposition could make to the congregation he served.
