Equipping / Theological Training

Formal education, guided reading and mentored ministry help pastors keep growing in their understanding of Scripture and their service to the church.

Learning Communities

Our current formal pastoral training work is through Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS). In partnership with CBTS and a local seminary serving as a learning center in Lagos, we help pastors pursue Master of Divinity studies while continuing to serve their congregations and care for their families.

Our earlier partnership with Union School of Theology (UK) supported three students through the Abuja Learning Community. All three graduated in July 2025, after which we paused enrollment in that program.

Pastors Reading Program

The Pastors Reading Program encourages a habit of reading that strengthens everyday ministry. Since 2024, 134 pastors have enrolled; 68 are participating across four groups as of October 2026. Over fifteen months, participating pastors receive books in five batches covering subjects such as preaching, discipleship, evangelism and counseling. Reviews are required before receiving the next set, encouraging thoughtful engagement and accountability.

LIT Academic and Ministry Partnership (LAMP)

LAMP extends guided reading into seminary education. Participating students read twelve selected books during the academic year, write reviews and take part in quarterly discussions. The program helps them deepen their understanding of theology, reflect on ministry and develop habits of learning that continue beyond their studies.

Conferences & Seminars

Our gatherings bring pastors, church leaders and believers together to hear sound biblical teaching and receive trusted resources. We seek to help participants return to their churches better equipped to understand, teach and live out God’s Word.

During the 2026 mission trip, LIT’s pastors conferences gathered approximately 600 pastors across three cities. More than 2,000 biblical resources were distributed during that season of ministry.
