Our beginnings · Founded in 2021

A shared burden.
A ministry born from partnership.

In 2020, Olumide Olumide had a burden to equip ministers of the gospel, increase access to sound biblical resources, and strengthen biblical churches in Nigeria. He shared that burden with Nick Kennicott, and later with Dami Adeoye. In 2021, that burden became Lux in Tenebris.

One of LIT’s earliest efforts supplied pastoral book sets to 15 pastors through Crossway’s generosity. From those beginnings, the work grew to include translation, conferences, theological education, pastoral internships, and support for missionary pastors.

These efforts share a common purpose: to help those who serve the church grow in their understanding of Scripture and remain faithful to the gospel.

Our Purpose

Equipping Faithful MinistersStrengthening Biblical Churches

Our vision

We envision the church in Nigeria transformed by the work of faithful gospel ministers who are passionate about Christ and his word.

Our mission

To aid in spreading the preaching of the true gospel of Christ in Nigeria by providing support to biblical churches, outreaches, seminaries, and all efforts aimed at sound biblical teaching.

How we serve

Equipping and Supporting.

Two commitments connect all that we do

01

Equipping for Ministry

We equip the church in Nigeria by making trusted biblical resources accessible and encouraging ongoing lifelong learning through translation, publication, distribution, guided reading, conferences, and theological education.

02

Supporting Faithful Service

We come alongside local churches through pastoral and intern support, church-planting efforts, and practical assistance for congregations, as they labor for the advancement of the gospel.
