Summer 2025: resources, teaching, and encouragement

Field letters and the 2025 mission report traced teaching gatherings, resource deliveries, and ministry alongside churches in Northern and Southern Nigeria.

Preparing to gather

In the months before the summer 2025 mission, LIT announced pastors’ conferences on rightly handling the Word of Truth and a believers’ conference in Lagos on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Supporters were invited to pray for the speakers, travel, and the Nigerian team’s preparations.

Books arriving for pastors

July field letters described the movement of resources shipped from the United States in April. After clearance and sorting in Lagos, the books traveled to Gindiri, arriving shortly before the conference’s final session.

The team and participants helped unload and arrange the resources. The letters also described teaching and questions from pastors serving communities affected by insecurity, followed by a gathering in Jos.

Ministry in Kaduna

A second field letter described participation in LightWalk Ministries’ retreat in Kaduna, where more than 250 Study Bibles and other literature were shared, including the Hausa edition of Paul Washer’s The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Olumide also preached at the chapel and learned more about LightWalk’s discipleship, rehabilitation, and outreach. These were accounts of partnership, not a claim that LIT operated LightWalk’s ministries.

Looking back on the mission

The August report announcement described ministry reaching more than 1,400 people during the season. A November reflection later recalled nearly 350 pastors at the Gindiri gathering. That gathering formed part of the wider mission account; the two figures should not be added together or treated as a deduplicated count of unique people.
