Resources for the life of the church
LIT’s October 2026 prayer guide gave thanks for the safe arrival of a container of biblical resources and the provision needed to clear the shipment through Nigerian customs. The prayer behind the distribution is that books will be read, understood, and used to strengthen believers, equip pastors, and establish churches more firmly in God’s Word.
The guide also looked back with thanksgiving on the year’s ministry in Nigeria. Read the summer mission report for the conference and resource-distribution update.
Pastors and local congregations
The requests included faithful preaching, maturity in local churches, and more laborers for gospel ministry. LIT asked for prayer for Chigozie Chinwo and the congregation in Elele; for Adeola Ogundele and the church in Abuja; and for lasting fruit from Osagie Azeta’s teaching and ministry travels.
Interns preparing to serve
Pray for wisdom and grace for Adetunji Ezekiel as he leads young people in Bible study. Pray for Adelodun Bello and Akeji Elijah as they grow in understanding Scripture, apply their learning, and prepare for pastoral service in the life of their local church.
Remember the suffering church
The guide called for prayer for protection, endurance, comfort for bereaved families, and help for displaced communities. It also asked for wise and just leadership and for the conversion of those who persecute the church.
These requests were shared in October 2026. They offer a picture of the people and concerns behind LIT’s work at that time.
